February, 2014: the first cruise of the sudanese spring Hurrah!

                               

February is a very interesting Month ...

 

 

Following the storms of November and December, a more constant NW wind from Egypt and northerly currents, the sea temperature slowly subsides. February is the lowest peak, it normally reaches 28, sometimes 27 degrees, then in March it slowly starts rising again.

It is what we need: because the water temperature affects the depth of shark sighting, 

so then sightings are less deep. It is good time to see if the tiger shark is around in Qita el banna or Angarosh, it is good time to meet the grey sharks around the plateau in Sha'ab Rumi, the perfect time to waith hammer heads come up to see us in Sha'ab Rumi south point or in Angarosh or in Merlo.... A lot of are chances.
Even though we must take into account that the whole meteorology is slightly changing. 

From February up to and including May, the Sudanese season is at its best.

February is a very good month for flight prices, decidedly reducing in comparison with Christmas time.

Blu Sudan Dive and Dream organises a beautiful "One Way" cruise. The cruise start at P.Sudan to the North. First check dive at Umbria 3 miles and half from P.Sudan. The itinerary includes diving at the Umbria wreck, Sanganeb, Sha’ab Rumi, Sah’ab Suedi, Qita el Banna, Shambaia, Merlo, Angarosh, Abington.


 

The outdoor temperature is about 27 degrees and it’s pleasant, in case you want to stop during the minibus transfer,on Monday, the last day before departure in the way from Mohamed Qol to P.Sudan, to have a walk around and take a few pictures along the road. As it’s nice, before to go to the airport have a walk in the city centre at P. Sudan.
