Sawakin Archipelago, the South itinerary on April and May special itinerary !!!

Every year we choose the month of April 
and May for the cruises in the archipelago of
Suakin because the weather is usually stable and little windy. 
Some of the reefs are pinnacles, towers that reach the surface or just a few meters from the surface, thus providing no shelter.
To be able to easily make these dives we need good weather and smooth sea. It is a fascinating itinerary, it provides Jumna, Logan, Pender, Protector, Pinnacle, Indi Ghidir, Seilada, Sha'ab Ambar ... 

The coral is beautiful, the barriers are in good health. There is so much life. 
Regarding special sightings, you may encounter: silky sharks, hammerhead sharks and gray sharks, tuna and pelagic, many turtles in Seilada, nicknamed, in fact, the island of turtles, and many young white tip. 
At Jumna often we found  with great satisfaction, great clouds of sardines with blue fin trevally, almost magical visions for the flashes of light whenever the trevally depart attack sardine runaway, creating forms and shades endless. The water temperature will be around 29 degrees.
We will be often alone, tied up with "shamandura" behind pinnacles and coral reefs, surrounded by blue. The excessive heat will not be here yet. It will pass a few more flock that migrate to the north or east towards Saudi Arabia: herons, goliath herons, egrets, swallows, some hawk: they linger and settle on " beacon " or on the emerging rocks to rest or wait the flock, and then keep on, like a handful of confetti in the blue sky.
The cruise to the south will generally involve more navigation, even if the dives points are not so far, from one to three hours of navigation one from the other. Due to the conformation of coral reefs of the archipelago, a good majority towers emerging from the depths, in the evening, we must return to Sha'ab Ambar, the only lagoon that can offer a safe mooring. 

And so, only in the evening, we will meet some other cruise boat  in the sheltered lagoon: the Felicidad, the San Marco, the Horizon .... At the end of the day is pleasant to have some short visit, it happen to meet again some companion of other trips, to comment on what you have seen and liked. In the morning we will sail some to the south, some to the north or east. On the sixth day, after a good dive at dawn at Jumna, we will start to sail towards the North. Off the lighthouse of Sanganeb, we often meet the dolphins, almost like a " welcome back " to try the grand finale to Sanganeb northern tip and to the wreck of Umbria.
And on request, for who love and cannot forget Sha'ab Rumi, we can have last dive on the South plateau!!!

A various cruise, interesting and complete, a six-day definitely intense. We will return to Europe our guests happy and maybe a little fattened ... despite the fins strokes: our chief cook, as usual, will have whetted our guests with his fabulous, irresistible delicacies, his pies, his special desserts!
