Book your cruise on February 24, there are still some places. Special offer last minute!!!
Schools of hammerhead sharks have been spotted on the plain of Sha’ab Rumi, at Qita el Banna (the fascinating pinnacle you run into while going up again on the route to Shambaia), at Angarosh, both during the first dive and the repetitive one, and even at Merlo. At Merlo the satisfaction of the sighting has been completed by the encounter at the end of the dive with 5 magnificent specimens of bottlenose dolphin that got close and stayed enough time to clearly listen to their calls and follow their shows, offering an extra emotion. Grey sharks have been spotted numerous at Angarosh.
I'll tell you the cruise of February 18, 2013.
The temperature has decreased up to 26°, more than traditional level for the winter months and a very good signal for sightings. We has started again our cruises with the “One Way” itinerary P.Sudan – Mohamed Qol.

The week has been a little bit windy, but then we are
still close to the wintry weather situation, even tough it’s been fully
satisfying anyway.

Splendid vortexes of barracudas have been spotted at
Sanganeb during the dive along the South West wall and at South point of Sha’ab
Rumi. There was no lack of groupers, schools of red snappers, napoleon and
fusilier fish, moray eels, white-tipped sharks, nudibranchia and scorpionfish
for the macro of the third dives and night dives. Easily called the role,
no-one was missing, good visibility and mild current. We have met even the
biologists of the Cousteau team, who were carrying out a first inspection for
what it will concern the second part of their research project and protection;
next to manta rays, they will work at noticing presence and typology,
concentration and migration of the
sharks in Sudan.
They have told us about an
adventurous night encounter with a lively macò of over three metres at North
Point of Sanganeb. It’s been a real pleasure to see their enthusiasm that anyway
has strengthened our one: in the marine scenario of our planet, the Sudanese
Red Sea shows as one of the most beautiful 5 tropical coral reef barrier areas
worldwide for its potentials to spot sharks in different barriers just a few
miles far from each other such as Sha’ab Rumi, Angarosh, Jumna, Sha’ab Ambar
and the barriers of the South, as unique place in the whole wide world.
The Sudanese season will extend until middle June:
Februsry - beginning of June is one of the most beautiful periods.
At the end of May- beginning of June, the manta rays
will come back hanging out in the North lagoons of Mesharifa and as a
completion of the diving itinerary in the most beautiful and famous reefs of
Sudan, it will be possible on demand to devote an afternoon to sightings and
swim together with the giant manta rays.
Until the moment when outside temperatures typical of
the end of June will convince us to migrate towards Egypt…
At present we are just in the right place, basically
at the right time.
