The first week departing from Port Sudan and disembarking at Mohamed Qol and
then vice versa departing from Mohamed Qol and disembarking at Port Sudan. For
us, the Blue Sudan Team, having waited for the guests in the small marsa
surrounded by desert with the island of Mesharifa at the horizon, it was like
spending two weeks at sea. Today, Sunday afternoon, we return to
"civilization" at the bustling commercial port of Port Sudan.
The water temperature is stable at 24 degrees, almost "fresh", certainly welcome for the health of corals and sightings: sharks stay less deep!
Good weather, wind from NW only a few days per week.
Unfortunately the wreck at Sha'ab Suedi has slid into deep water, 70 - 80m, so then, the four famous toyota cars, by themselves, have become not very representative and interesting.

Queen
of diving during these two weeks, probably thanks to a slight current from the
north, was at North-Sha'ab Rumi. Indeed it is not a dive so popular as the
others, but this week has been defined fantastic: "lacked a chair and you
could sit down to enjoy the show!" Someone said. That day, February 28,
after the first dive at 7.30 a.m., given the presence of a
great school of
hammer, over the forty specimens, were approved repetitive dives at the same
point. Wonderful the second dive, again with the hammer sharks, fantastic the
third, which immediately became the elect dive of the week: the immersion took
place at a depth of thirty meters, there was always a school of hammer, a dozen
of gray sharks, white tip sharks, a school of barracuda and jacks and a
nice suggestive school of parrot fish, bison or Bolbomethopon muricatum.
Shots that they produced to the barrier to break the coral with the heads,
seemed like a drum in harmony with the concert... since the extraordinariness
of the dive and the simultaneous presence of all, it gave the impression
of attend a grand finale of orchestra: you know ... the sea gives ... the sea
takes, and when it gives ... it leaves you breathless ....
